Bali is a tourist

Gunung Kawi Temple
This temple is one of the
prominent temples in Bali. The temple is not made of piles of stones like
temples in Java, but Gunung Kawi Temple is carved in a mountain cliff with a
large size. This temple was made by chiseling Gunung Kawi. The temple is
located in Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali or 40 km from Denpasar. It is quite
difficult to reach this temple. You have to walk past 315 stairs before
reaching this temple.
But along the way, visitors
will be accompanied by the beautiful scenery of rice fields, green grass,
dozens of craft vendors, and Pakerisan River. Inside the temple complex there
is a tomb that saves the ashes of corpses and some consort of King Udayana and
his son. King Udayana derived from Warmadewa Dynasty and is one of the famous
kings in Bali. He was honored and respected by Bali's people.
Pura Besakih (Besakih
Temple)
Pura Besakih is the biggest
and grandest temples in Bali which is located at the foot of Mount Batur. To
enter this temple, you are required to use cloth. Before the entrance, visitors
will usually direct near by merchants who offer wares. To reach the top, you
have to pass the stairs which is quite a lot.
This temple is actually a
center of all temples in Bali so it is not surprising that in this temple is
often held religious ceremonies. Besakih Temple has been entered into the list
of proposals to the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. When a religious
ceremony held, visitors are not allowed to talk and walk on the edge of the temple because it
would disrupt the ceremony.
Pura Tanah Lot (Tanah Lot
Temple)
You must already be
familiar with this temple. In fact, it feels not complete if you came to Bali
without visit Tanah Lot Temple. This temple is located on
top of a large rock. Under the temple usually you will see people who are
praying and receiving the blessings of the temple guards. Tanah Lot temple
built for the worship of the gods guard the sea. Tanah Lot is located in
Beraban, Tabanan, or about 13 km from Tabanan.
