The Banjar hot springs are
located in the north of Bali in the hills above Lovina beach - just about 30
minutes from Lovina, about 1,5 Km from Banjar or 24 Km from Singaraja Town - in
Banjar Countryside, Banjar sub district and Singaraja Regency.
This hot wellspring source
is built hundreds of year ago by the Japanese colonize the Indonesia. The
Japanese had also developed its military officer resort close to this area.
There are three baths were
you can puddle in 37 degrees Celsius, ideal for people suffering from rheumatic
diseases.. The springs are separated into 3 areas; the top area is the hottest
and the next two areas progressively cooler. The last has water falling from
about 20 feet and it can give you a great massage. You will need to take towels
as they are not available.
Banjar Hot Water, is
progressively recognized to be a spot of curiosity in north of Bali or a
tourist destination in Singaraja Bali. Now this place visited by many
vacationer from native and Overseas countries.
You are not allowed to jump
in the bath nude and you can’t bring your bar of soap with you to the springs.
The Banjar hot spring is
opened daily from 07.00 am until 18.00 pm daily except Nyepi Day (Silent Day).
When visiting, try this hot
spring in the morning or at the night time instead of midday time. Use the
changing rooms and locker under the restaurant. You must wear a swimsuit and
soaps are not permitted in the pool. There is an adjacent outdoor shower
provided.
It is an easy way to reach
this place from south part of Bali or other regions in the island. It will take
3 hours drive from Bali's International Airport and we recommend you to join
